here is the update for next week.

Monday, April 8 - Partial Solar Eclipse

As we all know the solar eclipse is occuring on Monday.  Though we do not have the pleasure of experiencing the full solar eclipse we do get the pleassure of experiencing a partial solar eclipse.  Even a partial solar eclipse can cause serious and permanent damage to they eyes.  It is because of this the Calgary Board of Education is asking schools to not let students outside between 11:50am and 1:50pm.   Please ensure your child has a lunch they can eat at school as they will not be permitted to leave the building during the time.   We understand many of our students are fasting so this may not be a concern for many at this time.

School Council and Video Surveillance Technology

Our next school council meeting is this Tuesday, April 9 at 6:30pm in the learning commons.   During this meeting we will also be seeking feedback on the proposed video surveillance technology that has been approved by both the Alberta Government and the Governance Committee of the Calgary Board of Education.    The feedback will be around privacy concerns.   Your feedback is valued. 

Badminton

Badminton Tryouts are almost complete.  If your child has tried out for Badminton the team will be posted early in the week.
