Dear Higgins Families

Below is the weekly update for the week beginning June 16, 2025.

Are You Moving This Summer?

If your family is planning to move over the summer and your child will not be returning to Higgins in the fall, please call Mrs. Park at 403-777-7060. She will help with the transfer process. Grade 9 Farewell – Tuesday, June 24

Farewell tickets will be sent home on Monday, June 16. Each student receives 2 tickets due to space and fire code limits. Only guests with a ticket will be allowed to enter – this will be strictly followed. If you do not need your tickets, please return them to the office so they can be given to another family.

Please avoid parking in front of the school or in staff parking lots, as this creates traffic problems, especially for our buses. Be mindful not to block driveways. Parking is limited, so we suggest using nearby side streets and walking in.

  • Doors open at 12:36 p.m. (after afternoon classes begin)
  • Ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m.
  • Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony

Summer Jam – Tuesday, June 24

Right after the Farewell, join us on the basketball court from 3:00–4:30 p.m. for Summer Jam. There will be food trucks, and we’re excited to welcome DJ Jazzy Hans as we celebrate and say goodbye to our Grade 9s in style.

Sincerely,

Colin McCracken
